Policy
How we handle your data.
Last updated 2026-05-29.
What we collect when you sign in
When you sign in through Google or with an email and password, we receive the email address you used and a stable identifier from the upstream provider. We use both to look you up across system8 services.
What we store after sign-in
- A signed session cookie on each system8 app you visit. The cookie names your email and proves to the app that we authenticated you. It expires; signing out removes it.
- Audit-log entries that record sign-in events (timestamp, app, identity provider). We retain these for one year.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your personal information.
- We do not place advertising tracking cookies.
- We do not share your data with third parties except the identity providers (Google, Meta) you used to sign in.
Subprocessors
We rely on Google Cloud (data storage, identity provider) and Meta Platforms (when you choose Facebook sign-in) to run the service. Their handling of your data is governed by their respective policies.
Your choices
You can request deletion of your data at any time. See data deletion for the procedure.
